Omar Sherien is a film and TV editor from Cairo, Egypt, and a student of film at the High Cinema Institute. Currently, he wields his razor at “The Barbershop Studios,” one of the leading post-production facilities in the Middle East. His edits sculpt stories that resonate globally, collaborating with directors from around the world.

Omar’s childhood was shaped by a strict upbringing, which instilled in him a strong sense of discipline and a deep desire to prove himself. To escape the confines of his environment, he turned to art, finding solace in the pages of his father’s extensive library of short detective stories that would shape his taste later in life.

Starting as a photographer, Omar developed a fascination with imagery and a strong sense of aesthetics and coherence in his work. He sees time as both a canvas and a constraint. And though he’s lost in his mid-twenties, you can almost always find him at the movie theater.
